I was delighted to contribute to a special issue of ‘Nursing Clio’ that explored aspects of pregnancy loss through historical and contemporary lenses. It was hard for me to choose what to write about, as I have much to add to the current conversations around the persistent misunderstandings of the grief, and experiencing of losing a baby to miscarriage. My book – The Brink of Being – attempts to prise these open, and will be published in May 2019. Here’s my small contribution about memory-making.
