Wednesday 10th October marks World Mental Health Day again and I’m pretty passionate about promoting awareness of mental health problems, and of the many ways to support them – including the talking therapies. One in four adults and one in ten children are likely to have a mental health problem in any year. But stigma persists and makes it difficult for some to seek help. Sadly the government continue to put mental health far lower down on the priority list than physical health.

The Mental Health Foundation are confronting this stigma through facts and ask you to join them in making your own Tea and Talk fundraising event – involving nothing more than putting the kettle on for as many you can ask, and inviting them to make a donation. It seems talking can help in more ways than one.
