I have an Advanced Diploma (Ad Dip) and a Masters Degree (MA) in Integrative Psychotherapy & Counselling - this is a professionally accredited five year training. I regularly attend further courses to expand, update and improve my skills and knowledge. I am insured and regularly supervised.

I am registered with the UKCP. As an individual member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), I am bound by its Ethical Practice for Good Practice and subject to their Professional Conduct Procedure.

As well as my private practice, I work at Forrest Counselling Service and at St Thomas' Hospital Psychotherapy Service. Until June 2008 I also worked at a university counselling service, where I assessed clients too. This variety of settings means I have the privilege of working with people from many walks of life and cultures. It also means I have experience of working with a number of issues.

I am a member of BICA (British Infertility Counselling Association) and am a Trustee of the Miscarriage Association (with long experience of support work for them). I have a particular interest and experience in working with women who have experienced a loss in pregnancy or a struggle with fertility.

Before arriving at all of this, I had a brief career as a solicitor in the City after teaching law at UCL, London University (I have a BA Hons Jurisprudence from Oxford University, LLM Kings College, London University). I left the law soon after I arrived at it to train as a reflexologist and pursue a part-time career as a feature/health journalist. This led me to psychotherapy....
